Panoz Esperante GTLM Coupe

IMG_0377.JPG

This is "Joy" - my 2005 Panoz Esperante GTLM Coupe

She has the Black Magic exterior with black leather interior

Joy is just 1 of 5 GTLM coupes ever produced

And 1 of just 2 GTLM coupes produced in 2005

Which is why it's almost impossible to find

a Panoz Esperante GTLM Coupe for sale

Panoz produced just 234 Esperantes of every variant

"GTLM" denotes a street legal race version (Gran Touring Le Mans) built to race and WIN the GT2 class at 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016

Powered by a Ford SVT 4.6 Liter Supercharged "Terminator" race engine with a modified upper pulley and custom ECU

producing over 500 HP. It utilizes a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission. The entire "tub" is carbon fiber (not just "accents") and the body and chassis are primarily aluminum.

Microsoft borrowed my car as the model for the Forza Motorsport 4 video game. So if you've "driven" the Panoz Esperante GTLM in Forza, you've driven this exact car!

I purchased Joy new from Gran Prix Motors in Wilsonville, Oregon, in February of 2007.

It was their floor model and show car and appeared at the Portland International Auto Show in 2006.

It now has about 8,250 miles on the odometer.

I've owned many sports cars, including quite a few exotics, but nothing as rare or unique as this one.

Since there is so little information out there about this amazing company and car, I just wanted to share mine with the rest of the world. Joy is not currently for sale, but I would be willing to speak with you if you are interested in learning more.

I'd love to hear from the other GTLM coupe owners.

Panoz is an American "Super car" manufacturer.

Their story is unique - as are their cars.
